Youtheory Verisol Collagen Review: Why This Is the Collagen Supplement I Keep Buying

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started paying more attention to the things I can control when it comes to taking care of myself.

For me, that means trying to eat reasonably well, staying active, getting outside, protecting my skin from too much sun, and being thoughtful about the supplements I choose. And honestly, I think I look better now than I did in my 30s.

That doesn't mean I've discovered some secret to stopping aging. I haven't. But I've become much more consistent about taking care of myself—and I've learned that consistency matters.

One supplement I've continued buying is Youtheory Concentrated Effect Collagen with VERISOL.

It's become one of those products that has earned a permanent spot in my routine.

Why I started taking collagen

I've tried quite a few collagen products over the years. Some were powders. Some were different formulations. Some were products I took for a while and simply didn't feel motivated to continue.

What caught my attention with this one was the combination of VERISOL collagen peptides, biotin, and vitamin C. Youtheory's current formulation provides 2,500 mg of VERISOL collagen peptides, 1,500 mcg of biotin, and 45 mg of vitamin C per three-tablet serving.

I initially purchased it at Costco during a sale—I believe I saved $9—and decided to give it a consistent try. I've continued buying it since.

My experience with Youtheory Verisol Collagen

Here's where I want to make an important distinction. I'm sharing my personal experience, not claiming that this supplement will produce the same results for everyone.

After consistently using it, I feel like my skin looks better to me. I particularly notice what seems to be an improvement in the overall appearance and texture of my skin.

That's subjective, of course.

I can't tell you that collagen caused every change I've noticed. Aging skin is affected by an enormous number of factors, including genetics, sun exposure, diet, sleep, hormones, skincare and simply getting older.

But when I look at the products I've consistently used as part of my routine, this is one of the ones I feel comfortable saying: I'm happy with the results I've personally experienced, and I keep buying it. That's ultimately what makes a product a winner for me.

What is VERISOL collagen?

VERISOL is a branded collagen peptide ingredient used in products designed around beauty-related applications.

There is some clinical research on specific collagen peptides and skin outcomes. For example, one randomized controlled trial involving women ages 45–65 studied 2.5 grams per day of VERISOL collagen peptides and reported a reduction in eye-wrinkle volume after eight weeks, along with changes in markers related to the dermal matrix.

More broadly, research on oral collagen supplements has produced mixed results.

A 2023 systematic review and meta-analysis of 26 randomized controlled trials found improvements in skin hydration and elasticity among people taking hydrolyzed collagen, while also noting limitations in the evidence.

More recent research is more cautious. A 2025 meta-analysis found overall improvements in some skin measures across collagen trials, but those effects were not seen in analyses restricted to higher-quality or non-industry-funded studies. The authors concluded that there isn't currently strong clinical evidence establishing collagen supplements as a treatment for skin aging. So I'm not going to tell you that collagen reverses aging. I don't think the evidence supports that claim.

What I can say is that there is legitimate research investigating oral collagen and skin health—and my own experience is one reason I've chosen to keep using this particular product.

What's actually in Youtheory Verisol Collagen?

The current Youtheory formula contains three primary active ingredients per three-tablet serving:

  • 2,500 mg VERISOL collagen peptides

This is the collagen ingredient that caught my attention. Collagen is a structural protein found throughout the body, and researchers have studied orally consumed collagen peptides for potential effects on skin hydration and elasticity.

  • 1,500 mcg biotin

Biotin is vitamin B7, a water-soluble vitamin involved in metabolism. At 1,500 mcg, this product contains 5,000% of the Daily Value listed on the current Youtheory label.

  • 45 mg vitamin C

Vitamin C is an antioxidant and an essential nutrient involved in collagen production. The NIH notes that vitamin C is required for collagen biosynthesis and is also involved in antioxidant protection and iron absorption. Youtheory includes 45 mg per serving.

What I like about this formula

For me, the biggest advantage is simplicity. Three tablets provide the collagen peptides, biotin and vitamin C without requiring me to mix a powder into a drink. And that's important because the best supplement routine is one you're actually willing to follow consistently. I also appreciate knowing exactly what I'm taking rather than dealing with a giant proprietary blend.

Would I buy it again? Yes.

In fact, that's probably the most honest recommendation I can give. I've purchased it repeatedly, I've incorporated it into my routine, and based on my own experience, I've been pleased enough with it to keep buying it.

That doesn't mean I think everyone needs collagen. It doesn't mean I believe it will make someone look younger. And it definitely doesn't mean that taking collagen replaces the fundamentals of taking care of your skin and your overall health. For me, it's simply one piece of the larger picture.

My bottom line

I'm not looking for a miracle. At this stage of life, I'm much more interested in small, consistent choices that help me feel like I'm taking good care of myself.

That's why Youtheory Verisol Collagen has become one of my favorite supplements.

I like the formulation. I like the convenience. I've been happy with how my skin looks and feels while using it, and I've continued purchasing it.

Your experience could be completely different—and that's worth remembering with any supplement.

But if you're looking for a collagen product to investigate, this is one I'd put on the list to research.

And if you've tried it, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think.
